Audio levels decrease during a Breeze Meeting

Issue 1

The microphone volume for a Breeze Live host or presenter decreases during a meeting, eventually reaching zero so that participants cannot hear the host or presenter speak.

Solution

Prior to a meeting, hosts and presenters that will be speaking must turn off the Automatic Microphone Gain option available in the Audio Setup Wizard.

  1. Open the Breeze Audio Setup wizard: Meeting > Audio Setup Wizard.
  2. Follow the directions for each step, clicking the Next button each time you complete a step.
  3. At Step 5, click on the Advanced Settings button.
  4. Deselect the Automatic Microphone Gain check box.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click Finish.

Watch the demonstration below for the steps to turn off the Automatic Microphone Gain option.

Issue 2

The microphone volume level settings that are detected are not saved. This is true whether you stay in the Meeting after changing your advanced settings, or leave the Meeting and return later. The result is that the audio continually decreases as a speaker continues to use the microphone.

Solution

Prior to a meeting, hosts and presenters that will be speaking must use the Audio Setup Wizard to set audio settings for the particular meeting.
