I'm having problems downloading and installing Adobe Flash Player on WindowsProducts affected

Try these fixes, in this order:

Confirm your version of Adobe Flash Player

Open the About Adobe Flash Player page. (On any rich media content, Control-click and select About Adobe Flash Player.) If you have Flash Player installed, a Version Information box appears.

  • If you do not see the box, you do not have Flash Player installed. Continue with these troubleshooting steps.
  • If you see the box, check the table to see whether your version is the latest available for your operating system. If you have the latest version but are still having problems, see Flash Player installation problems – Windows.


Confirm that you are logged in to a Windows Administrator account

To install Flash Player, log in to a Windows Administrator account. For more information, read your Windows documentation or contact your administrator.


Close all applications

Quit all running applications including all Internet Explorer or other browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, or other messaging programs.


Download and install the latest version of Flash Player

  1. Download and install Flash Player from the Flash Player Download Center. Alternatively, if you have problems with the download center, download Flash Player executable (.exe) file. 
  2. After you install Flash Player, restart your computer.
  3. To confirm that your installation succeeded, visit the About Adobe Flash Player page.  At the top of the screen, you see the message, "Adobe Flash Player Successfully Installed."


If you're still having problems

If you're still having problems, run the Flash Player uninstaller and repeat these steps to download and install the latest version.
