Title

Font is substituted with Times New Roman on WinHelp exportProducts affected

Issue

When you attempt to export WinHelp (*.HLP) from RoboHelp for Word, fonts are substituted with Times New Roman.

Reason

Microsoft has implemented new RTF tags via some of their Microsoft Word security updates. RoboHelp was unable to process these new tags.

Solution

Update RoboHelp for Word to resolve this issue.

Backup the HPJ2Hlp.dll file:

  1. Quit all instances of RoboHelp and Microsoft Word.
  2. Browse to the [Path to the RoboHelp X5 application]\RoboHelp Office\RoboHELP folder. The default location for RoboHelp X5 is C:\Program Files\RoboHelp Office\RoboHELP.
  3. Rename HPJ2Hlp.dll to HPJ2Hlp.old.

Install the update:

  1. Download tn_799a6b49-v3.zip.
  2. Unzip tn_799a6b49-v3.zip.
  3. Move HPJ2Hlp.dll from the location you extracted it to, to the [Path to the RoboHelp X5 application]\RoboHelp Office\RoboHELP folder.

You should now be able to generate WinHelp without loosing your font settings.
