Projector crashes when QuickTime 7 is used
Issue
Windows projectors created using Macromedia Director may crash when launched on machines that have QuickTime Player version 7 installed.
Reason
The crash only occurs in cases where the projector contains some of the movie's needed Xtras but the QuickTime Asset Xtra is put into an external Xtras folder. This crash is due to a bug in the player code and is not expected behavior.
Solution
In order to avoid this issue developers should either include all needed Xtras within the projector, or make sure the projector contains none of the needed Xtras and instead have them all located in an external Xtras folder next to the projector. In both of these suggested configurations the crash error will not occur.
