Event time displays incorrectly in the Breeze Event Manager
Issue
When creating a Breeze Event or an email with Breeze Event Manager, the time of the event will appear incorrectly when you log out and preview it.
Solution
When creating events with the Breeze Event Manager, you can send out emails via Breeze (email invitations, reminders, thank you's) to all participants. When customizing these emails for your event, there are two workarounds:
- When customizing email notifications for participants, manually modify each email to display the correct time instead of using the default {event-time} {date} or {time zone} functions. To do this, choose the emails you want to send and select Customize. On the customizing page, go to the message body and manually type in the correct time, date and time zone for your event.
- The other option when customizing participant emails is to change all event times to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). For example:
- If your event starts at 12 PM Pacific, subtract 7 hours. You are indicating that your event will start at 5 AM Pacific, but the HTML in the preview, as well as what will be sent to participants in the actual email, will state the event starts at the correct time, 12 PM Pacific.
- If your event starts at 12 PM Eastern, subtract 4 hours. You are indicating that your event will start at 8 AM Eastern, but the HTML in the preview, as well as what will be sent to participants in the actual email, will state the event starts at the correct time, 12 PM Eastern.
