Browser windows fail to go into "Full Screen" mode

Issue

The Meeting user interface for attendees without the meeting add-in opens in a browser window with toolbars visible.

Reason

This is due to a limitation with JavaScript that can only control window dimensions for new browser windows. The standard Flash Player uses JavaScript to control window dimensions for the browser, but because a Breeze session is already using an existing window, full screen mode cannot be invoked for the window.

Solution

Most Windows users that experience this issue should be able to avoid the problem by pressing the F11 key.

A permanent solution is to have the attendees install the Breeze Meeting Add-In prior to the event. The Breeze Meeting Add-In is an updated Flash Player customized for features in Breeze (such as enabling screen sharing, screen control, etc.). Hosts can promote attendees to 'presenter' status in order to invoke a download and installation of the component.
