Slow performance adjusting custom Anti-alias with large blocks of text
Issue
You may experience slow redraw performance in Macromedia Flash 8 while adjusting the Thickness and Sharpness sliders on a large block of text with custom Anti-alias settings. The sliders themselves may drag slowly and redraw slowly.
Reason
This is a side effect of controlling the live anti-aliased preview of the characters on screen. Unfortunately adjusting the anti-alias thickess or sharpness can be processor intensive, slowing down interaction with the Flash 8 user interface.

Solution
Displaying smaller text blocks will help the performance issue, but there is no complete workaround for this issue beyond adjusting the amount of text being anti-aliased.
