Talking Head FLV files created with On2 VP6 codec do not appear in output

Issue

Macromedia Flash 8 comes packaged with 2 codecs to convert movies in Flash into FLV format. These codecs are Sorenson Spark and On2 VP6. Using the On2 VP6 codec results in the FLV file not appearing in the compiled output from Breeze Presenter, only the sound plays.

Solution

The Sorenson codec should be used when converting a movie into an FLV for Breeze Presenter. To change to the Sorenson codec, take the following steps:

  1. Import the movie to the library.

The Import Video wizard will appear.
  2. Check the path and click Next.
  3. Select how you would like to deploy the video.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Click Show Advanced Settings.
  6. Under the Encoding Tab, change the Video Codec from On2 VP6 to Sorenson Spark.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Save the file.

    The encoding will begin.
