Breeze 5: Troubleshooting Breeze login
Issue
Users are unable to login to Breeze when accessing resources (Content, Course/Training, Live/Meeting).
Reason
Some Breeze resources require authentication in order to access. This is set by the Breeze Administrator, Course Author, or Meeting Host. Users can not access these protected resources unless they login to Breeze.
Note: Users who can login but still cannot access the resources should verify their account permissions. In addition to authentication, permissions can be set on the Breeze resources that will only allow certain groups or accounts to access the material.
Solution
Login to Breeze using the Login and Password combination for the account. Most Breeze accounts use the email address for the login. Follow the steps below for suggestions on troubleshooting login problems:
Unable to login:
- Navigate to the Breeze login page (http://admin.breezecentral.com/ for hosted accounts).
- Click on the 'Forgot Password' link found on the Breeze login page.
- Provide the email address that is registered in Breeze.
- Wait for the Breeze confirmation email sent to the email address.
Note: Breeze will only send confirmation if the email submitted matches a registered account. If the confirmation email is not received within a reasonable time, try using a different email address. Some email filters may also automatically move/delete the system email being sent by Breeze.
No permission to access resource:
Users who are able to login, but encounter permission errors when accessing a Breeze resource need to contact their respective Breeze Administrators, Content Authors, or Meeting Hosts. Permissions need to be verified for the account being used. Breeze Administrators can verify overall group membership and assign the appropriate group of permissions to the account to allow access to the resource.
Breeze 5 non-email login:
Breeze 5 now supports both email and non-email address formats for user logins. If the Breeze 5 account is using a non-email format for the login, users will not be able to use the 'Forgot Password' option to reset the password. Breeze Administrators will need to set a temporary password for users who are using non-email format logins.
