Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.3.2 Release Notes

Release date:  April 13, 2010 

The Adobe® Reader® and Acrobat® 9.3.2 update is a quarterly update which includes functional improvements as requested by customers and security updates encountered during the previous quarterly period. 9.3.2 address a number of customer workflow issues, security vulnerabilities, and more stability. 

Adobe recommends that you install the latest applicable update

PDF Maker

2560751: Word document uploaded on the acrobat.com service runs into a timeout situation

PDFMaker does not work properly while creating hyperlink annotations for footnotes in a word document (when convering a word document to a PDF). This issue is fixed

Viewer

 2558546:  Loading pdf multiple times in same process caused memory leak in windows browsers

Memory leaks have been signficantly reduced

Security 

2468381: Watermark visibility remains unchanged for a policy protected document (with watermark) when using it as background or foreground

Watermarks should not be visible for policy protected documents when they set in the background or foreground. This issue is fixed

2501756: Long term validation data for the OSCP response is not being embedded in the signature at signing time which results in invalid signatures that should be valid.

2525795: Performance degradation experienced after setting preferences to "Render points as cross-hairs when opening a PDF file

Trust Manager  

2537842: A PDF file trusted for Javascript still shows the Yellow bar and does not execute the javascript

If a user trusts a PDF with Javascript always, that trust only lasts for the session. Once Reader is closed and reopened, the yellow bar shows up again, This issue is fixed

2537849: When a PDF is added as a privileged location in Enhanced Security, Acrobat deletes the entry 'cAlwaysTrustedForJavaScript'  under Key-\TrustManager\cTrustedFolders\

If Javascript is enabled for a PDF and then another file is added to the previleged location, it causes deletion of 'cAlwaysTrustedForJavaScript'  entry under Key-\TrustManager\cTrustedFolders\. This issue is fixed

2558503: Adding a privileged location host from the Options button on the JavaScript injection Yellow Message Bar populates 1/2 of the privileged location keys it should.

2558529: bDisableTrustedSites and bDisableTrusted folders does not consistently prevent Options button from appearing on Yellow Message Bar for certain workflows.

Disabling user config of priv locations does not prevent the Options button from appearing on the YMB. This issue is fixed

2553890: Reader removes the “cAlwaysTrustedForJavaScript” value and places it in the “cUnsafeJavaScript” key with the same value when the same exact web site value is place in the Trusted Hosts UI for Enhanced Security

A URL when added to “cAlwaysTrustedForJavaScript” and Trusted Hosts in Enhanced security dialog would cause Adobe Reader to remove “cAlwaysTrustedForJavaScript” value and place it in the “cUnsafeJavaScript” key with the same value. This issue is fixed
