Canceling the Acrobat Connect Pro 7.5 r125 installation deletes all files on that driveProducts affected
Note: If you downloaded Acrobat Connect Pro 7.5 r125 between November 3rd, 2009 - November 17th, 2009, or if you received the DVD and it was shipped to you during that timeframe, read the following TechNote carefully.
Issue
In Acrobat Connect Pro 7.5 r125, if you select Cancel during the installation process, an installer bug deletes all files on the drive on which you are installing Connect Pro.
Solution
Adobe recommends that you do not use the Connect Pro 7.5 r125 installer. Adobe provided a new installer on November 14th, 2009, for all Download and DVD customers.
If you have already installed Connect Pro 7.5 r125, delete the installer to avoid using it in the future and get the latest installer as instructed below.
Download Customers
Maintenance and Support customers:
Download the latest installer on the Licensing Website, posted on November 18th, 2009.
Trial customers:
The latest installer was posted on November 18th, 2009, and is available through your Sales Representative.
DVD Customers
If you have received the DVD version of the Connect Pro 7.5 r125 installer, download the latest installer once it is available on the Licensing Website or request a new DVD from your Sales Representative.
Note: When installing the latest installer on top of Connect Pro 7.5 r125 or 7.5 r128, the latest installer backs up the install files. However, it also copies over the existing C:\breeze\backup files. To prevent copying the backup files, rename the C:\breeze\backup before you run the installer.
Additional information
This bug exists in the installer. If you have already installed Connect Pro 7.5 r125, you do not need to reinstall Connect Pro for this bug. However, Adobe recommends downloading the latest installer and reinstalling Connect Pro, because the latest build contains a critical bug fix for Seminar customers. For more information, see the Connect Pro 7.5 r125 On-Premise Seminar rooms display "Account Limit Reached" TechNote.
