Error when removing web server connector using WSConfig on Microsoft Windows 2008 Server or Vista
Issue
Unable to remove a web server connector using WSConfig on Microsoft Windows 2008 or Vista.
Reason
This issue occurs if the current user does not have permissions to read "C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\config\ApplicationHost.config".
Solution
The resolution for this issue is to manually delete:
- related connector from
<cfusion_lib>\wsconfig - all releated entries in the ApplicationHost.config file
Additional Information
If you have more than one web server connector that you have added by using wsconfig, individual connector configurations are identified by numeric codes. You can view the code for the connector information you are trying to remove by vieweing the wsconfig.properties file in the <cfusion_lib>\wsconfig directory.
Note: <cfusion_lib> will be located by default at:
- Server :
C:\ColdFusion9\runtime\lib - J2EE:
C:\JRun4\lib
