Adding playback controls to a Flash MX 2004 project

Issue

You can use Adobe Captivate to insert playback controls into your Flash MX 2004projects.

Solution

  1. Create a new, single blank slide Adobe Captivate project with playback controls and save project.
  2. Add anew document to Flash MX 2004 then import to that document'sstage thenewAdobe Captivate .cp file
  3. In original Flash document, insert a newlayer call "playback control" and a frame at the end of the timelinefor that layer.
  4. Take the "playback controls" and "playback info" objects from the newdocument's library and add them to the current document's new "playback control" layer.
  5. Copy all of the actions scripts for both objects from the newdocument to the current document.

Note:If thethe originalFlash documentis also aAdobe Captivate imported project, then you will have unlock and make visible the existing "playback control" layerbefore you can add objects to it.
