Issue
When opening and saving files on the Mac, especially via the SMB protocol, applications, including Adobe applications, may sporadically crash. SMB stands for Server Message Block, which is protocol for Windows file sharing. So if you are attempting to save to a remote Windows server (or a Unix server running Samba), then you may be hitting this issue.
Solution: Update to the most recent version of Mac OS X 10.6.
