Selecting undo while editing code between two collapsed code fragments on the same line will un-collapse the fragments permanently

Issue

When in Code view in Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, code collapse functionality may be disrupted permanently for certain code if a user performs the following actions

Choosing Edit > Undo or pressing Control+Z (Windows) or Command+Z (Macintosh) while editing code between two collapsed code fragments on the same line will permanently delete the code collapse functionality on the two fragments.

Reason

Editing code between two collapsed code fragments on the same line is something that few users will be trying to accomplish and the bug was deferred for this release.

Solution

Develop the code to be on separate lines and avoid having multiple collapsed code fragments on the same line with code between the code fragments.
