FTP Upload Settings for Flash Player Movies
Question
What settings should be used in FTP software in order to upload Flash Player movies to the server?
Answer
Some FTP packages, such as Fetch for Macintosh, ask you to set the upload you want to use to upload files to the server. If given the choice, use both of the following upload settings:
- Binary (upload setting).
- Raw Data (format setting).
Some Macintosh FTP packages use "MacBinary" uploading. This is not the same as Binary. Use Raw Data instead of MacBinary for uploading Flash files to the server.
Note: If you choose other settings, the file you post on the server may not be recognized as a Flash Player movie.
