Title

Compiling custom form guide components with more recent versions of Flex SDK (LiveCycle ES)Products affected

Issue

In Guide Builder, when opening form guides that references a SWC file containing custom components created in Adobe Flex Builder, Flash Player displays one or more ActionScript errors.

Reason

The errors are a result of a mismatch between the version of Flex SDK included with Guide Builder, and the version of Flex SDK used to create the SWC file from a Flex library project.

Solution

You must compile any Flex library projects that contain custom form guide components using the same version of Flex SDK that is included with your version of LiveCycle ES.

To compile your Flex library project using a specific version of the Flex SDK:

  1. Start Flex Builder.
  2. In the Flex Navigator view, right-click your Flex library project, and click Properties.
  3. Click Flex Library Compiler and make sure Use a specific SDK is selected. Choose the appropriate version of Flex SDK from the drop-down list.
  4. Click OK.
