Issue
If you install LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 on the same computer as Microsoft SQL Server 2008, LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 crashes when launched.
Reason
The Microsoft file mfc80u.dll (version 8.0.50727.1833) installed with SQL Server 2008 contains a bug, which causes LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 to crash when launched.
Solution
Download and install the 32-bit version of the executable file vcredist_x86.exe to install a newer version (8.0.50727.3079) of the Microsoft redistributable DLLs including mfc80u.dll.

Important Note: Because LiveCycle Designer ES is a 32-bit application, you must install the 32-bit version of the executable file vcredist_x86.exe on both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems.
