Introduction

The Adobe Presenter 7.0.2 update resolves some important issues identified in Adobe Presenter 7. Adobe recommends that all Adobe Presenter 7 users install this update.

The update is distributed through the automatic product update system and can be downloaded from the Adobe product update page. This update is applicable for the following languages supported by Adobe Presenter 7:

Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.

Issues addressed by the Adobe Presenter 7.0.2 update

The 7.0.2 Update includes corrections to the following issues:

Audio	Audio inserted using PowerPoint	Sound inserted using PowerPoint does not play in published output for PPTX files.
		Audio does not play across all slides when user inserts audio through PowerPoint and selects the 'Play across slides' option.
	Audio Normalization	Normalize option in volume window of Audio Editor is not functioning.
	Audio waveform-related fixes	Garbled waveform seen at the end of audio wave for recorded audio when zoom factor is increased in the Audio Editor.
		Imported audio out of sync with audio editor waveform.
	File size increase	Audio files get converted to uncompressed wav files upon legacy conversion.
	Audio in Flash objects	Sound of SWF is heard on previous slide and other slides if user goes to any slide after the SWF slide and then comes to previous slide.
PowerPoint Conversion	Conversion Fidelity	For few files of some image formats, bits per pixel are reduced to 8 bit (lossless) when the file is published and Quality is set to high.
		PPTX: Text added to shapes loses the default font color in published output.
		PPTX: Grouped shapes lose the Format Shape features of PowerPoint in published output.
		PPTX: Color change-related animations like Complementary Color, Contrast, Darken, Lighten, and Desaturate are not honored.
		PPTX: "Slide number" inserted at Slide master or layout level coming as <#> in the published output.
		For some family of fonts, space character becomes wider on publishing.
Presenter Output	Fixes for important issues	Customized logo.swf shifts to the right, making a portion of it covered by the play/pause button of the playbar.
		Attachment Links fail to open on IE on opening a published output at network location.
		Mailto Hyperlinks in PPT files not working in published output.
		Flash Player security message should be displayed whenever attachment is opened from locally published content.
	Russian and Turkish Support	Presentations published from 7.02 have inbuilt Russian and Turkish translations for all player labels. Russian and Turkish labels are also available under Theme Editor > Text Labels along with other language labels.
Publishing to Connect	Fixes for important issues	Sharing password protected PPT presentations in Connect meetings using share-pod leads to hang.
		Progress bar movement not indicative of publishing status when publishing to Connect server.
Quiz	Fixes for important issues related to Quizzes	Even when "Shuffle questions" options is set to OFF in a question group the questions are shuffled in published output.
		Customizations to question feedback messages (Correct/Incorrect responses) if done in PowerPoint slides are getting wiped out.
		Despite the Disallow Backward Movement setting, a user can access the Back and Forward controls on the quiz summary slide. in some cases, this navigation causes erroneous scores in the LMS.
		Question attempt count and quiz score aren't updated correctly in the Quiz Pane if a wrong attempt is made after a correct attempt.
		For a Question with multiple attempts, reporting is not done if the question is attempted incorrectly with few attempts remaining.
		PowerPoint crashes on importing a quiz with question title greater than 260 characters.
Security	PPTX file specific fixes	PPTX: Security-related fixes for fixing Potential cross-site scripting vulnerabilities when converting PPTX files.
Video	Fixes for important issues related to Video	If a presentation with video is uploaded to a Connect meeting using the share pod: The duration of the slide with video doesn't change. The slide remains in buffering state.
		Import Video / Insert Flash window fails to open when Presentation is opened from a network location.
		Audio of video on a slide can be heard on other slide when slide on which video is inserted is switched when its video is in buffering state.

Installation instructions

This update requires that Adobe Presenter 7.0.1 is installed on your system. To determine which version of Adobe Presenter you have currently installed, choose Adobe Presenter Help > About Adobe Presenter. The version number appears on the upper-right corner below the close dialogue box button.

The update can be installed either by using the Adobe updater or by using the update installer file.

To install using the Adobe updater, choose Adobe Presenter Help > Updates In Adobe Presenter. Select Presenter 7.0.2 update from the list of available updates to download and install.

To install using the update installer file, download the update file from the Adobe product updates page. After downloading the update file, double-click the file to begin the update process.

System requirements

Adobe Presenter 7.0.2 update patches the existing Adobe Presenter 7.0.1 installation. Adobe Presenter 7 release notes can be found here. Applying Adobe Presenter 7.0.2 patch does not change the Adobe Presenter 7 system requirements.
