Unexpected scaling and/or rotation when you print from Illustrator CS3 or InDesign CS3 (Mac OS X 10.5.5)
Issue
After you install the Mac OS X 10.5.5 update, printing to certain printers from Illustrator, InDesign or InCopy results in pages rendering with incorrect scaling and/or rotation. The document contents might be smaller than expected, or enlarged so that parts of the page extend beyond the edge of the paper. The contents might appear rotated relative to the paper so that parts of the page extend beyond the edge of the paper.
Solution
Try one or more of the following solutions:
Solution 1: Update your Mac operating system to 10.5.6.
For more information on how to upgrade your operating system, please refer to http://www.apple.com/downloads.

- Select the Setup pane.
- Choose "Defined by Driver" in the Paper Size control.
- Click the Page Setup button. If a warning dialog box appears, click OK.

Solution 3: Print from Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.

- Click on the Printer button. If a warning dialog box appears, then click OK.
- If the OS Print dialog box appears minimized, then click on the button with a downward facing triangle to expand it.
- From the pull-down list of options, choose Printer Features.
- Set the Resolution control to 600dpi, or something other than the current value.
- Navigate to the InDesign application in the Finder.
- Select the application and choose File > Get Info.
- Enable the "Run in Rosetta" checkbox.
- Close the Get Info dialog box and relaunch InDesign.
