Support boundary for InContext Editing when using Adobe Dreamweaver CS5Products affected
What's covered
Overview
Adobe InContext Editing is an online service that allows designers to create, manage, and control editable web pages. With InContext Editing, web designers can allow content editors and publishers to update website content through their browser - without learning HTML, installing software, or compromising design integrity.
Adobe is no longer developing the standalone InContext Editing service, so we can instead focus on the integration of InContext Editing with our online business platform, Business Catalyst. Registered users of the InContext Editing service were notified about this change via email mid-April 2010.
InContext Editing as a standalone service will continue to run until early to mid 2011, but we will no longer be accepting customer registrations. Registered users will be able to use the service for maintaining already registered websites until early to mid 2011, but will not be able to register new sites. We encourage users to try Business Catalyst during this period, a hosted service for building and managing online business, which InContext Editing will become a part of.
No further updates are planned at this time for the standalone InContext Editing service. We will continue to improve the functionality and the editing experience as part of the Business Catalyst platform.
Refer to the InContext Editing Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
