Photoshop.com Mobile release notes
What's covered
This document is for users of Adobe Photoshop.com Mobile Beta 1 and addresses issues which are not discussed in the user and installation guide. This document may be updated periodically as more information becomes available.
Known Issues
For a comprehensive list of emerging and known issues, please visit the Photoshop.com Support Center.
All Devices
General
- The stylus is not supported in Photoshop.com Mobile. In the login screen, Treo users can use the center soft key (ENTER) to enter their credentials. (1862484)
- It is recommended to exit the Phone Photos view into the Main Menu or exit Photoshop.com Mobile completely when copying over large numbers of photos via ActiveSync or similar products. (1853310)
Image Viewing
- Edits made on the phone using a third party editor may not show immediately in Photoshop.com Mobile's full screen view. To force it to refresh, select Options > Refresh View. (1851225)
- Edits to photos using a third party editor may not be reflected in the thumbnails or full screen photos. The images may refresh in the cache after some time on their own, but to force it to update, one can remove the local cache by deleting the folder \Application Files\Adobe\Photoshop.com Mobile\ImageCache . (1872399, 1889032)
- Photoshop.com Mobile displays an empty black box when it is unable to load a thumbnail. To force a refresh, select Options > Refresh View. Selecting this black box will return a non-fatal #1001 error. Simply exit full screen view back into the grid view to fix this problem. (1867035)
- On occasion users may notice a difference between their albums and those displayed on Photoshop.com. If this occurs, select Options > Refresh View while in album view to reload all of the albums. (1888224)
Errors
- An "Actionscript Stuck" error may occur in low memory and low disk space scenarios. If this happens, exit other running programs and check available disk space to make sure it is not full. (1857093)
- An unrecoverable out of memory error may happen in low memory situations leaving Photoshop.com Mobile unresponsive; users can fix this problem by opening the Task Manager and stopping the Photoshop.com Mobile and Adobe Uploader processes. Alternatively, users can reboot their phones and launch Photoshop.com Mobile again. (1889005)
Installation/Uninstallation
- The installer for Photoshop.com Mobile will fail with an "unsuccessful install" message if there is insufficient space on the installation target (either phone memory or SD). Check to make sure there is enough disk space to support the installation and launch the installer again. (1855845)
Palm Treo
Installation/Uninstallation
- Treo 700 users may experience difficulties when upgrading to a newer version of Photoshop.com Mobile. To avoid this, uninstall the program using the "Remove Programs" functionality after downloading the new installer. Once Photoshop.com Mobile is uninstalled, select the downloaded file to launch and install. (1871284)
Storage Card
- After rebooting the status of memory card photos that have already been uploaded may be lost on a Treo device. To avoid this issue, configure your Treo to take photos to the phone's memory instead of to the storage card. (1889966)
- In certain circumstances, the Phone Photos view may not completely refresh after removing the storage card. If this occurs, select Options > Refresh View or exit the Phone Photos view back into the Main Screen to force a refresh. (1895635)
- On occasion, Treo users may experience strange behavior in Photoshop.com Mobile when installed on the storage card. We highly recommend that Treo users install the product on their phone memory instead of on the Storage Card. (1897047)
