Conversion setting changes in the Generate PDF service are not reflected in Adobe AcrobatProducts affected

Issue

After changing the settings for the Generate PDF service in LiveCycle Administration Console (for example, setting the Use Acrobat Image Conversion parameter to true), when you start Acrobat, the new conversion setting is not visible.

Reason

Settings for the Generate PDF service are read when the Acrobat.exe process starts. Consequently, when the service changes are made while the process is running, they are not visible in Acrobat until you restart the process.

Solution

  1. Start Windows Tasks Manager and click the Processes tab.
  2. Select Acrobat.exe from the list and click End Process.
  3. Restart the Adobe Acrobat application.
