Flex Builder crashes or will not start up

When you launch Adobe Flex Builder it crashes or will not open and you see the following error:

• "An error has occurred. See the log file."

Solution

Do one of the following solutions:

1. Upgrade to Java runtime 1.6.

Download Java runtime 1.6 from http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp.

2. Delete the .snap file.

Navigate to \.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.resources and delete the .snap file. Oncedeleted, you will have to restart Flex Builder and reimport your projects.
