Unlock Now button is unavailable (Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2)

Issue

When you enter an unlock code in the Product Registration dialog box in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2, the Unlock Now button is unavailable.

Solution

Complete these steps in the order in which they are presented:

1. Clear the code-entry text box.
  1. Click once in the code-entry text box near its far right edge.
  2. Hold down the Backspace key to delete all the characters in the box.
  3. Release the Backspace key.
2. Paste or carefully type the unlock code.

If you have access to the e-mail message from Adobe that contains your unlock code, then do the following:

  1. Open the e-mail message.
  2. Select the unlock code. Make sure that you select all eight characters.
  3. Press Ctrl+C (the keyboard shortcut for Copy).
  4. Return to the Product Registration window in Photoshop Album Starter Edition.
  5. Click once in the code-entry text box.
  6. Press Ctrl+V (the keyboard shortcut for Paste).
  7. Verify that the code in the text box matches the code in the e-mail message.

If you are typing the unlock code instead of copying and pasting it, then make sure that you do the following:

  • Type the numeral 0, not the letter O.
  • Type the numeral 1, not the letter l (the lowercase of L).
  • Avoid typing any spaces between the characters that make up the unlock code.

Once you have pasted or typed the unlock code, click Unlock Now. If Unlock Now remains dimmed, proceed to Step 3.

3. Re-register Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2.

If you have entered an unlock code completely and correctly but the Unlock Now button remains unavailable, then the unlock code may not be the correct one for your registration information. Do the following:

  1. Click Exit Without Unlocking.
  2. Re-open Photoshop Album Starter Edition. The Product Registration dialog box should appear. If it does not appear, then choose Help > Registration.
  3. Type your e-mail address in the Product Registration dialog box. If you have more than one e-mail address, then use an e-mail account that you can access easily.
  4. Fill in the other requested information in the Product Registration dialog box. Only the items marked with an asterisk (the * symbol) are required.
  5. Click Register.
  6. Click Unlock Now.
  7. Check your e-mail account for a message from "Adobe Systems Inc." (adobe@adobeinfo.com or adobe@regconfirmation.com) with the subject "Photoshop Album Starter Edition Unlock Code."

Note: You may have to wait a few minutes to receive the message. You may also need to check a "Junk" or "Bulk" folder in your e-mail account. If 24 hours has elapsed and you have not received the message, contact Adobe Customer Service in your region for assistance. Visit the Adobe website at www.adobe.com, select your region from the menu at the top of the page, and then click Contact Us.

When you have received the e-mail message that contains the unlock code, go back to Step 2 for instructions on copying and pasting the unlock code into the code-entry text box.
