Q: How can I share a file with an email distribution list without the need to add every member of the distribution list to my shared file?
A: Acrobat.com supports 2 levels of security for shared files: Restricted Access and Open Access. In case of Restricted Access, only individuals specifically given permission will be able to access the file. In the case of Open Access, only individuals with the URL to the file will be able to view and download the document. Use Open Access when you want to share files with an email distribution list so that everyone on the list will be able to access the file. To share a file with a distribution list, simply select a file and type the email address of the list in the Share With recipient list, the service will send an email to the distribution list with a link to the shared file. In case the distribution list email address is only accessible internally within your organization, you can copy and paste the URL to the file in your desktop email client and send the URL to the distribution list.

Q: Are there any restrictions on the types of files that can be shared through Acrobat.com?
A: Acrobat.com currently does not support sharing audio and video files (.mp3, .aac, .mov, .wmv, .ogg, .flv, .xvid, .divx), fonts (.ttf, .dfont, .otf), archives (.tgz, .7z, .sit, .jar, .war, .rar, .cab) and any executable file formats (.exe, .dll, .inf, .csh, .tcsj, .bash, .ksh, .sh, .com, .bat, .vb, .js, .cmd, .com, .lnk). All other file types can be shared through Acrobat.com as long as you are the owner or have appropriate permissions from the owner and/or copyright to share the files in accordance with the Terms of Service for Acrobat.com.

Q: How do I prevent recipients from a accessing a file after the file has already been shared with them?
A: If a file has been shared with Restricted Access, you can prevent recipients from accessing the shared files by removing them from the list of authorized users who can view the file. The recipients who have been removed from the list will no longer be able to access the file through their Acrobat.com account. If the file was originally shared with Open Access, changing the file access to Restricted will prevent recipients from accessing the file. You will have to explicitly share the file with individuals who need access to the file.

Q: Is there an address book on Acrobat.com, and can I upload my own addresses?
A: Acrobat.com does not have an address book. However the service remembers the email addresses of all the recipients you have previously shared a file with or those who have shared a file with you. When sharing a file you can quickly select one or more of these email address through the Acrobat.com UI.

Q: Can I make the thumbnails smaller so that I can see more files on a single page of the browser?
A: You cannot currently change the size of the thumbnails in the Acrobat.com UI. To view more files on a single page of the browser you can easily toggle to the list view and navigate in this view using the grouping and filtering capabilities. Alternatively you can filter the files in the thumbnail view to view the relevant subset of files in the web browser window.
