64-Bit Support for Adobe Products

The following table lists how Adobe products support 64-bit operating systems.

Note: While Adobe Creative Suite 3 software is natively 32 bit, these applications will run on 64-bit versions of Windows Vista. For an in-depth overview of 64-bit computing and its value, see this blog from Scott Byer, Adobe Photoshop software architect.

Product Compatibility
Acrobat See the following TechNotes:
  • Support policy for Adobe Acrobat 8.0.x Windows x64 (TechNote 333360)
  • Support Policy for Adobe Acrobat 7.0.x (Windows XP x64) (TechNote 331732)
Acrobat 3D Acrobat 3D is supported on 64-bit Windows platforms per the
system requirements and will run as a 32-bit application.
Flash Player See "Flash Player support on 64-bit operating systems" (TechNote 6b3af6c9)
Flash Professional CS3 See the Support Information section of "Flash Professional FAQ"
FrameMaker FrameMaker 9 has been tested on 64-bit Vista, and there are no known issues that are specific to the 64-bit version of the OS. FrameMaker 9 is not a 64-bit application, and it runs on  64-bit Vista in 32-bit compatibility mode.
