Applications do not work after running Data Wizard on an Adobe AIR project (Flex Builder)

Issue

If you create an Adobe AIR project from Flex Builder 3 with Data Wizard applied, the generated Adobe AIR application may not run. You do not recieve an error message indicating a problem.

Reason

The Adobe AIR application descriptor has an old format. A new descriptor file is needed when you run Data Wizard.

Solution

Overwrite the existing main.xml.vm file with the file attached below.

1. Navigate to Flex_Builder_3_install/plugins/com.adobe.flexbuilder.dbwizard_[version number]/templates/air/
   
   Note: The version number for the release version of Flex Builder 3 is 3.0.194161.
   
2. Overwrite the existing main.xml.vm with the attached file: main.xml.vm

This file will generate the correct Adobe AIR application descriptor when you run Data Wizard.
