Performance of SQL API for Inserts and Commits slow on Mac OS (FlexBuilder)

Issue


When you run SQL API Insert and Commits on Mac OS X, the performance of those Inserts and Commits is slower than respective Inserts and Commits on Windows.

Reason


Applications that refresh the database through Inserts and Commits are more likely to exhibit this behavior. Performance varies with application and is from five to ten timesslower on Mac OS X thanon Windows. On average, the database Insert and Commit time on Mac OS X is approximately eight times slower than on Windows.

Solution


To resolve this issue, use the Windows equivalent.
