Copied catalogs are not displayed in the Convert Catalog dialog box in Photoshop Elements 6

Issue

When you copy an Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 catalog to a non-default location, the copied catalog is not visible in the Photoshop Elements 6 Covert Catalog dialog box.

Reason

Photoshop Elements 6 displays catalogs to import from previous versions when they exist in the default location in Program Data/Adobe/Catalogs.

Solution

To import catalogs in custom locations, do the following:

  1. In Photoshop Elements 6, go toFile > Catalog.

  2. Click Convert.
  3. Click Find More Catalogs.
  4. Navigate to the location of the copied catalogs and click OK.
  5. Select Show Previously Converted Catalogs.

Note: The copied catalog(s) will now display in the Convert Catalog dialog box.
  6. Select the copied catalog and click Convert.
