Can't import from Photoshop Elements 6.0 | Lightroom 1Products affected
Issue
When you try to import images directly into Lightroom 1 from a Photoshop Elements 6.0 catalog, you receive an error.
Reason
You can import catalogs into Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 (Windows) from Photoshop Elements 5.x, 4.x, 3.x, and from Photoshop Album 2.0.
The catalog format changed in Photoshop Elements 6.0, causing Lightroom to post the error.
Solution
Export the images from Photoshop Elements manually, then import them into Lightroom.
- Open Photoshop Elements 6.0.
- In the Organizer, select the files you want to export.
- Choose File > Export and select a target location for the photos.
- Open Lightroom.
- Choose File > Import Photos from Disk.
- Select the images that you exported from Elements and click Choose.
