Switch from View Only to Edit mode in FrameMaker 7.x (Windows and Unix)

Issue

You changed an editable Adobe FrameMaker document to View Only mode and can't changeit back to Edit mode.

Solutions

Do one or more of the following solutions:

Solution 1: Use the key combination (Escape, F, l, k) to exit View Only mode.

1. Press and release the Escape key once.

2. Press Shift+F (upper case F) and then release.

3. Press and release l (lower case L).

4. Press and release k (lower case K).

Solution 2: Click Toggle View Only on the quick access bar to toggle between View Only and Edit modes. (FrameMaker 7.2)

Background information

You must use a special key combination to exit View Only mode so that it isn't turned off accidentally.
