Camera Raw 3.2 DNG images open with artifacts in Photoshop CS2

Issue

When you convert images to DNG using the Camera Raw 3.2 plug-in and open them in Adobe Photoshop CS2, they contain artifacts.

Solutions

Do one of the following solutions:

Solution 1: Install the Camera Raw 3.3 plug-in update.

Download and install the update from the Adobe website at www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html .

Solution 2: Remove the Camera Raw 3.2 plug-in and reinstall the Camera Raw 3.1 plug-in.

To open your DNG files in Photoshop CS2, remove the Camera Raw 3.2 plug-in and reinstall the Camera Raw 3.1 plug-in.

Note: If you use the Panasonic LX1 or FZ30 camera, use Solution 2.

Solution 3: Open RAW files using Camera Raw 3.2.

Instead of converting images to DNG, open the camera's native RAW files using Camera Raw 3.2.

Background information

This issue affects DNG files, but it is a problem in the Camera Raw plug-in. The cameras affected include the Panasonic LX1 and FZ30, the Leica D-Lux2, and the Olympus E-1.
