Tryout version requests a serial number (InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop CS2 tryouts on Windows)

Issue

After you download an Adobe product tryout, you are prompted to enter a serial number.

Detail

This problem occurs with Adobe InDesign CS2, Adobe Illustrator CS2, and Adobe Photoshop CS2 tryouts.

Solution: Extract the downloaded zip file and then install thetryout.

1. Extract the downloaded ZIP file by using a file extraction utility (for example, WinZip). For instructions, see the documentation included with the utility.

2. Double-click the Setup.exe located within the extracted Adobe product folder to install the tryout.

Background information

If you try to install the InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop tryout (ZIP file) without first extracting the files, you are prompted to enter a serial number.
