Error "...writing metadata to [filename]" when you rotate, or add metadata to, files in Bridge (1.0)
Issue
Adobe Bridge returns the error, "There was an error writing metadata to [filename]." when you try to rotate, or add metadata to, a file (for example, edit or change entries to the Metadata panel or File Info dialog box).
Solutions
Do one of the following solutions:
Solution 1: Move the file to a local hard disk.
If the file is located on a server or a hard disk that has permissions restrictions, move it to a local hard disk that has no permissions restrictions. After you apply your changes to the file in Bridge, save the file to the local hard disk before moving it back to its original location.
Solution 2: Make sure that your User Account has write access to the file.
If you don't have write access to the file, contact your network administrator.
Background information
To edit files in Bridge, you must have write access, and the files must be located on a hard disk that has no permissions restrictions.
