Error "...file...is empty!" or "Malformed multipart post" occurs when you upload a file (Create Adobe PDF Online)
Issue
After you upload a file using Create Adobe PDF Online, one of the following errors occurs:
-- "The file [filename] is empty!"
-- "Malformed multipart post"
Solutions
Do one or more of the following solutions:
Solution 1: Check the size of thefile.
If the size of the file is 0 KB, use the application in which it was created to add data you wish to covert to Adobe PDF, and then upload the file.
Solution 2: Upload the file again.
Choose the file in the Select A File window, and then click Continue.
Solution 3: Restart the web browser, and then upload the file.
1. Quit all instances of the web browser, and then restart it.
2. Go to the Create Adobe PDF Online site at https://createpdf.adobe.com .
3. Enter your Adobe ID and password, and click Login.
4. Choose the file in the Select A File window, and click Continue.
Solution 4: Use a different web browser to upload the file.
Start a different web browser (for example, start Netscape Navigator if you used Microsoft Internet Explorer), and then perform steps 2-4 in solution 3.
Solution 5: Restart the computer, and then upload the file.

Solution 6: Upload the file using a new browser profile.
If you use a web browser that supports browser profiles (for example, Netscape Navigator or Mozilla), start the browser in a new profile, and then upload the file.
To upload the file using a new browser profile:
1. Quit the web browser.
2. Create a new browser profile. See the web browser documentation for instructions.
3. Start the web browser using the new profile.
4. Perform steps 2-4 in solution 3.
Solution 7: Log into a different user account, and then upload the file. (Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP; Mac OS 9.x-X; UNIX; Linux only)
1. Create a new user account. See the operating system documentation for instructions.
2. Log in using the new user account.
3. Perform steps 2-4 in solution 3.
Solution 8: Upload the file from a different computer.
1. Transfer the file to a different computer. (If possible, try a computer that uses a different Internet connection.)
2. Perform steps 2-4 in solution 3.
Solution 9: Install web browser updates.
Contact the web browser provider for any available updates or support recommendations.
Background information
If you upload a 0 KB file, Create Adobe PDF Online returns an error.
If the web browser is experiencing issues with or doesn't support multipart forms, Create Adobe PDF Online may return an error.
