TechNote (Archived)

No audio when you recapture clips from tape (Premiere Elements 2.0, PAL only)

Issue

Audio is missing when you recapture clips that where exported to tape from Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0.

Details

You used the Export To Tape command while working on a PAL project.

Exported clips include audio when you play them in the camcorder.

This issue does not occur when you use the Export To Tape command in Premiere Elements 1.0.

Solution: Install the Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 PlayerStandard plug-in update.

Download the free update for your language version of Premiere Elements 2.0 from the Adobe web site at www.adobe.com/support/downloads .

Adobe recommends that you install this update if you work in PAL format. After the PlayerStandard plug-in update is installed, projects exported to tape in PAL format from Premiere Elements 2.0 will retain audio when recaptured. The update does not address any other issues or add any new features. It is applicable to all languages.
