Create Adobe PDF Online is a Web-hosted service that lets you convert a variety of file types into Adobe PDF files. You can register for a free trial membership or you can purchase a subscription. (More features are available to paid subscribers.) This document describes how to subscribe to or register for Create Adobe PDF Online, and how to activate your account.

Note: If you have an Adobe ID, you can register for a trial membership by signing in to Create Adobe PDF at https://createpdf.adobe.com .

Subscribing to Create Adobe PDF Online

Subscriptions are non-refundable. To cancel an annual subscription, contact the Adobe Store at 800-833-6687. To cancel a monthly subscription, visit the Adobe website at http://store.adobe.com/store/general/subscription.jhtml .

To subscribe to Create Adobe PDF Online:

1. Visit the Adobe website at https://createpdf.adobe.com .

2. Click Subscribe Now.

3. Select a subscription option, and then click Add to Cart.

4. Click Checkout. Enter your Adobe ID and password, and then click Sign In.

Note: You need an Adobe account to make online purchases. If you don't have an account, click Register, and follow the instructions for creating an Adobe ID.

5. Enter your payment information on the Confirm Your Order page.

6. Click Purchase Now. You'll receive an e-mail response at the address listed in your account information with a link to Create Adobe PDF Online.

Registering for a trial membership

A trial membership lets you create your first five Adobe PDF files for free.

To register for a trial membership:

1. Visit the Adobe website at https://createpdf.adobe.com . Click Try it for Free.

2. Choose your country or region from the Select a Country or Region pop-up menu. Click Continue.

3. Enter your first name, last name, and e-mail address in the Enter Your Account Information dialog box.

4. Enter an Adobe ID, password, and password hint. Your password must be at least six characters long.

5. Click Save Changes. You'll receive an e-mail with a link to Create Adobe PDF Online.

Note: You must create a unique Adobe ID. If the Adobe ID that you choose is already taken you will receive an error. If you receive this error, select a new Adobe ID.

6. Record your Adobe ID and password for future use. An Adobe ID also entitles you to access to other areas of the Adobe Web site. For more information on the benefits of an Adobe ID, visit the Adobe website at http://store.adobe.com/store/general/benefits.jhtml .

Activating your account

You will receive two e-mail messages after you subscribe to or register for Create PDF Online: A welcome message and a message containing a link to the Create Adobe PDF Online activation site.

To activate your account:

1. Click the link the Activation e-mail you received. (If the link isn't active, copy and paste it into your Web browser's address bar.)

2. Click Continue on the Create Adobe PDF Online - Additional Terms page.

3. Enter your Adobe ID and password in the Sign In dialog box, and then click Login.

If you didn't receive the welcome and activation messages after subscribing to Create Adobe PDF Online, make sure that you entered the correct e-mail address in your account information. Login to Create Adobe PDF Online at https://createpdf.adobe.com using the Adobe ID and password you created when setting up your account. The e-mail address you entered is listed in the Pending Activation dialog box.

To change your e-mail address for Create Adobe PDF Online:

1. Log into your account on the Adobe website at https://store.adobe.com/store/customerregistration/your_account.jhtml .

2. Click Edit Your Account Information.

3. Enter your e-mail address in the Personal Information section.

4. Click Save Changes.
