Detail
The computer does not have a C drive.
Solutions
Do one or more of the following solutions:
Solution 1: Create a C drive on the computer, and then install.(Adobe Creative Suite 1.1 or earlier)
Name one of the drives on the computer C, and then try installing Adobe Create Suite again. For instructions on changing a drive letter to C, see the following articles on the Microsoft website at www.microsoft.com :
-- Windows XP: "How to change drive letter assignments in Windows XP." (Search for article 307844.)
-- Windows 2000: "How to Restore the System/Boot Drive Letter in Windows." (Search for article 223188.)
Note: If you have an external drive (for example, a Zip or Jaz drive) connected to the computer, you can name the external drive C and then install Adobe Creative Suite. See the documentation included with the drive for instructions on changing the drive letter designation.
Solution 2: Run the installer with no other applications in the background.

Background information
When you run the Adobe Creative Suite installer, it tries to install three files to the C drive: myinstall.log, test.log, and Temp.log. While you can install Adobe Creative Suite on a drive other than the C drive, the installer can't install Adobe Creative Suite correctly if it can't copy these files to a C drive on your computer.
Some applications that run in the background may interfere with the Adobe Creative Suite installer. You can identify these applications and disable them before installing Adobe Creative Suite.
Some system components--for example, device drivers and virus-protection utilities--can conflict with the Adobe Creative Suite installer and result in an incomplete or failed installation. To prevent these conflicts, install Adobe Creative Suite from the desktop.
