Can't install Adobe Creative Suite to case-sensitive HFS+ formatted hard drive (Mac OS)
Issue
Adobe Creative Suite applications fail to start, generate error messages when starting, or do not function as expected on Macintosh hard drives formatted with case-sensitive HFS+.
Solution: Install Creative Suite 2 applications on a hard drive formatted with Mac OS Extended (also known as HFS+).
Background information
Case-sensitive HFS+, also known as HFSX, HFS+X, or case-sensitive HFS Plus, extends HFS Plus format to allow additional features that are incompatible with HFS Plus. The only such feature currently defined is case-sensitive file names. As noted in the Creative Suite 2 ReadMe, Adobe has not tested installation of Adobe Creative Suite on case-sensitive HFS+ formatted drives. Performance with this format is unknown and is not supported.
