Error "...DVD Error -19013" or "Out of Memory...-16033" (Adobe Encore DVD 1.0)

Issue

Adobe Encore DVD 1.0 returns one of the following errors during startup or when you work in the program:

-- "File Err (DVD Error -19013)"

-- "Out of Memory (File Error -16033)"

Solutions

Do one or more of the following:

Solution 1: Update to Adobe Encore 1.01.

Download Adobe Encore DVD 1.01 from the Adobe Web site at www.adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html .

Solution 2: Replace missing or offline assets:

1. On the Project tab, look for any asset names that are italicized, indicating that they are missing or offline.

2. Replace the missing asset(s) using one or more of the following methods until the asset is no longer offline:

-- Right-click the italicized asset in the project window and select Revert to Original. The file will revert to the original, untranscoded version.

-- Choose File > Locate Asset and then navigate to the location of the asset on your computer.

-- Delete the asset from the project and import it again.

Note:Before deleting and reimporting the asset, it may be necessary to first delete the timeline that contains the asset. Be sure to note the name of the timeline so that you can recreate it with the same name and restore the links to it.

Solution 3: Create a new project and import the assets again.

Open a new project and re-import all of the assets, including images, audio and video files, and menus.

Note: Menus are saved by Adobe Encore DVD, and can be found in the Sources folder within the project folder. You will need to reset all of the links in the project after you re-import the assets.

Background information

Adobe Encore DVD stores information about assets--including the filename, modification dates, and location--within a project. If assets are moved, replaced, renamed, or updated while a project is closed, Adobe Encore DVD 1.0 may not be able to locate the assets the next time the project is opened and may return errors. The Adobe Encore DVD 1.0.1 update addresses this and other issues identified in Adobe Encore DVD 1.0.
