Color Definition in a FrameMaker Document Can't Be Deleted and Has a Strange Name
Issue
You cannot delete a color definition from an Adobe FrameMaker document. The color definition is unused and has a strange name; for example, it contains random numbers.
Solution
Delete the color definition from a MIF version of the document:
1. Open the document in FrameMaker.
2. Choose File > Save As, and choose MIF from the Save as Type pop-up menu. Click Save.
3. Open the MIF file in FrameMaker.
4. Choose View > Color > Definitions.
5. From the Name pop-up menu, choose the color definition. Click Delete.
6. Choose File > Save As, and save the document in Document (*.fm) format.
Additional Information
On occasion, a legacy document can obtain a color definition that can't be deleted when the document is in Document (*.fm) format. If you save the document in MIF, an ASCII file format, you can delete the color definition.
