Remove Acrobat using the Add Or Remove Programs utility
Adobe recommends that you use the Add Or Remove Programs utility to remove Acrobat from the system, which is a simpler procedure than removing Acrobat manually.
Note:The Add Or Remove Programs utility doesn't remove shared files that may have installed with Acrobat, including color management files (*.icc and *.csf). If you use the Add Or Remove Programs utility and it doesn't remove the Acrobat 6.0 folder, manually remove Acrobat.
To remove Acrobat using the Add Or Remove Programs utility:
1. Quit Acrobat.
2. Move any documents (for example, PDF documents) you want to keep from the Acrobat 6.0 folder to another folder.
3. Choose Start > Control Panel (Windows XP) or Start > Settings > Control Panel (Windows 2000).
4. Double-click Add Or Remove Programs.
5. If Adobe Acrobat - Reader 6.0.2 appears in the Currently Installed Programs list, remove it.
Note: Removing Adobe Acrobat - Reader 6.0.2 removes only the 6.0.2 update from Acrobat and from Adobe Reader (if it's installed).
6. Select Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional, and click Remove.
7. When prompted, confirm that you want to remove Acrobat.
If Windows doesn't remove Acrobat (for example, it returns an error), perform one of the following tasks:
-- Reinstall Acrobat to the same folder and then complete these steps again.
-- Manually remove Acrobat.
Removing Acrobat manually
