SGML File Causes Unknown File Type Dialog Box to Appear in Structured FrameMaker (7.0 on Windows or UNIX)
Issue
When you open or import an SGML file in Adobe FrameMaker, the Unknown File Type dialog box appears, requiring you to select a format for the file.
Solution
Select SGML as the Convert From format, and then click Convert.
Additional Information
Prior to version 7.0, FrameMaker supports SGML but not XML. Because FrameMaker 7.0 supports both SGML and XML, it prompts you to verify the format of files when you open or import them. If you open or import a *.sgm file, the Convert From selection defaults to Text. If you open or import a *.sgml file, the Convert From selection defaults to SGML.
