Custom Markers Aren't Listed in the Include Markers of Type Field in FrameMaker 5.5
Issue
Custom markers in a file of an Adobe FrameMaker 5.5 book don't appear in the Include Markers of Type field when you generate a list or an index of markers.
Solution
Apply the document properties of the file containing the custom marker to another file of the book:
1. Open the book file in FrameMaker.
2. Open the file that contains a custom marker.
3. Make the book file window active.
4. Choose File > Import > Formats.
5. Select only the Document Properties option in the Import and Update section of the Import Formats dialog box.
6. Make sure that the Update field lists a file that doesn't contain the custom marker.
7. Click Import.
8. Choose File > Generate/Update.
9. Choose File > Add File.
10. Select either Generated List or Generated Index, then choose List of Markers or Index of Markers from the corresponding pop-up menu.
11. Click Add. In the Setup a List (or Index) of Markers dialog box, you can select the custom marker in the Don't Include field and then add it to the Include Markers of Type field.
Additional Information
If a file in a FrameMaker 5.5 book contains a custom marker, the custom marker won't appear in the Include Markers of Type field when you generate a list or an index of markers, unless you apply the document properties of the file that contains the custom marker to another file of the book. It's not necessary, however, to use the custom marker in another file of the book.
