Fill and Pen Patterns Are Incorrect in PDF or Printed FrameMaker Document (Windows)
Issue
Hatched fill and pen patterns are incorrect in an Adobe FrameMaker document printed from Windows, or they are incorrect (both on-screen and printed) in an Adobe PDF file created from FrameMaker on Windows. The patterns may not be visible, may be shaded, or may have lines in widths different from those on-screen.
Detail
The patterns were created in FrameMaker.
Solutions
Do either of the following:
Solution 1
Remove the incorrect graphics from the document, re-create them in another application (e.g., Adobe Illustrator), and then replace them in the document.
Solution 2
Use FrameMaker fill and pen patterns that are not hatched.
Additional Information
FrameMaker, printer drivers, and the Windows Graphic Device Interface (GDI) do not work compatibly when printing hatched fill and pen patterns created in FrameMaker to either a printer or to a PostScript file used to make a PDF file.
