Spelling Checker in FrameMaker doesn't find extra spaces

In Adobe FrameMaker, you can edit the Spelling Checker options so that the Spelling Checker finds and removes extra spaces in text. The Spelling Checker, however, finds instances where only two spaces occur; it does not find instances where three or more spaces occur.

To remove instances of three or more spaces from text, you can use the Find/Change utility:

1. Choose Edit > Find/Change.

2. Choose Text from both the Find and Change pop-up menus.

3. In the Find box, press the spacebar to enter three or more spaces.

4. In the Change box, press the spacebar once to enter one space.

5. Find and change the spaces as desired.

For more information on using the Find/Change utility, see the Adobe FrameMaker Help or User Guide.
