Searching for Paragraph Tags In a Table Finds Every Other Instance

Issue

When you click Change or Change & Find command in the Find /Change dialog box to change a table's paragraph tags in Adobe FrameMaker 5.x, FrameMaker only finds every other instance of the tag. Likewise, when you click Change All In to change the tags, FrameMaker only changes every other instance.

Solution

Search backward for each occurrence and Change or Change & Find:

Choose Edit > Find/Change.

Select Find Backward.
Click Change or Change & Find.

Additional Information

When you search forward through a table for paragraph tags, FrameMaker only finds every other instance of the tag. If you search backward through the table, however, FrameMaker will find every occurrence of the tag in the table, though it will only change every other occurrence if Change All In is chosen.
