Display Units in New FrameMaker Document Default to Centimeters
Issue
When you create a new document in FrameMaker for Windows, the display units (i.e., units of measurement) default to centimeters instead of inches.
Solutions
If you're using Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0, change the regional setting to English (United States):
1. Choose Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click on Regional Settings.
3. Select English (United States) from the pop-up menu and click OK.
4. Restart Windows.
OR: If you're using Windows NT 3.51 or Windows 3.1x, change the Measurement setting in the International Control Panel to English:
1. Double-click on the Control Panel in the Main group in Program Manager.
2. Open the International Control Panel.
3. Select English from the Measurement pop-up menu and click OK.
Additional Information
The default display units in FrameMaker for Windows are determined by your system setting. If the selected regional setting uses a metric measurement system, FrameMaker defaults to centimeters when you create a new document.
