Imported PostScript Doesn't Print from FrameMaker 5.x for Mac OS
Issue
When you print a document that includes a text frame containing PostScript code, Adobe FrameMaker 5.x for Mac OS does not print the image described by the PostScript code. The page that should contain the graphic is blank, and neither FrameMaker nor Print Monitor returns an error.
Solutions
Open the original document from which you created the PostScript file and save it in EPS format. Then, import the EPS file into FrameMaker.
OR: Print the FrameMaker document to file using the Apple LaserWriter printer driver 8.4 or later, or the AdobePS printer driver 8.5 or later. Then, download the PostScript file to a printer.
Additional Information
You can import PostScript code in a text frame to create special effects. Using this method, you do not see a representation of the printed image on the screen as you would with an EPS file saved with an image preview. When you print the file on a PostScript printer, however, FrameMaker for Windows and UNIX print the image that the PostScript code describes rather than printing the code as text in the text frame. FrameMaker for Mac OS doesn't print PostScript code in a text frame correctly.
